gvfs-fuse software package provides userspace virtual filesystem - fuse server, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gvfs-fuse
gvfs-fuse is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gvfs-fuse package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gvfs-fuse *
You will get with gvfs-fuse package name, version, architecture and description in a table
